This is one of the earliest dresses that I made. My sister sent me some silk as a late birthday present the same year that I got the tiny lady doll. I tried to use my poor old domestic sewing machine, but it did not like the idea of sewing silk, so I fixed it by adjusting the hemline with glass seed beads to make it look a little nicer.
